Either Trovit.com doesnt care enough to weed out fraudulent listings, or they are fraudsters themselves. We were almost taken for $1200 and Im sure there are many others like us everyday. DO NOT trust any person who responds to your contact request through this site/app. They are not agents or owners of properties, they are criminals. If you do, and you find out its a scam please file a report with the FTC immediately. Here is the scam:
The owner of the property claims he has moved away from the area and the reason the rent is low is because he is more interested in finding a good person/family to care for the house. Other agents/brokers tried to jack up the price of his beloved home (that is why Zillow and such have it listed for 3 times the amount). It comes down to what you can pay NOW to secure the property and how quickly. He has a secretary in another state to accept your Western Union wire. Keys will be in the mail the next day.
